Learn the ins and outs of roller derby from the KC Roller Warriors on September 4th and 5th. Gain all the vital skills that will improve your game and find out what
it takes to keep your skates in tip-top shape. This years bootcamp is co-ed so everyone is welcome. Bootcamp fee is $75 for the whole weekend. SPACE IS LIMITED!!!!!
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have primary insurance (Please bring a copy to the boot camp)
- Must have ID ( Please bring a copy to the boot camp)
- Must have passed the WFTDA elligability test
- Must sign KCRW waiver (this will be provided at registration)
FRIDAY: Meet and Greet starts 5pm

Please note on there that this will be a meet and greet and also registration. Everyone should bring copies of the ID and insurance cards at this time. And they will be signing our waiver. Anyone who can't make this can register the next morning but they need to be at the rink at 7:30. If they preregister friday they can get there at 8:00.
SATURDAY: Starting bright and early at 8am
You will learn edgework, introduction to skating mechanics and the foundation of intermediate skating, power crossovers, quick feet crossovers, how to give and recieve steer/ bump/ hit/ check, hard cuts and hockey stops.
SUNDAY: Starting bright and early at 8am
Continue to work on edgework both forwards and backwards, transitions and backward skating, basic and advanced pack work and participate in a controlled scrimmage.
Lunch will be provided both days. Please also bring both a light and dark colored shirt for scrimmages. A welcome party will be held Friday night at Sidepockets. More info to come.
