Denver, CO.-The day got started with KCRW going up against The Sacrificers from Sacred City. JessiKa Boom lined up against Ariel La-Twister. Ariel got lead and drew first blood, putting four unanswered points on the board. Xcelerator was next in the line up and she was able to put four points up but The Sacrificers still led by two points. The All-Stars trailed until Jam 11 when X put them in the lead, 37 to 31. There would be two more lead changes and then a tie score and then The Sacrificers were leading 87 to 77 by Halftime.
Things still felt positive at this time. They were behind, but nothing that could not easily be made up. The second half, unfortunately, was where things started to fall apart. The All-Stars were starting to rack up penalties and it ultimately hurt them as far as trying to get a good rally was concerned. In the end, The Sacrificers took 10th place, leaving KCRW with 11th.
The fight for 8th place was quick and concise. Treasure Valley's All Stars took on The Saddletramps from Tucson and just came out swinging. Treasure Valley was ahead 131 to 29 at the half and won the game, 225 to 119.
No Coast had taken 7th place yesterday so that left Wasatchs' Midnight Terror and The Boulder County Bombers' All-Stars to play for 5th Place. Midnight Terror had a fight on their hands early in the first period, but they were leading 92 to 47 by Halftime. They won 5th Place, 189 to 126.
Things started to get interesting by the time Jet City's Bombers and Sac City's Capital Punishers were competing for 3rd Place. The Bombers took control early and dominated the whole game with the final score of 141 to 95.
When 1st Place is on the line, the competitive spirit comes out and it was in full force as Rocky Mountain's Fight Club took on Arizona's Tent City Terrors. Fight Club took an early lead and held it through the first half, 99 to 70. It was in the second period that The Tent City Terrors started to chip away at their lead until, eventually, they were on top and then there was no stopping them. The Tent City Terrors won The Besterns Trophy, 246 to 141.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for the 17th when The All-Stars will take on The Music City Brawl Stars from Nashville at Memorial Hall.
