Wichita,Ks.-The All-Stars made it to the Division 2 Playoffs again this year. They were seeded fifth out of ten teams from across the country. Their first game on Friday, August 19th was against The Belligerents of Brandywine Roller Derby from Downington, Pennsylvania. The Belligerents have won six out their eleven games played. The All-Stars put up a good fight but ended up losing 223 to 112.
Saturday would be a better day to try to turn things around. It was a day of All-Stars as KC first played The Carolina All-Stars of The Carolina Rollergirls from Raleigh, North Carolina. They've won four of the twelve games played and were hoping for a fifth but KC said no with a score of 182 to 150.
This victory moved them into the next bracket to play The Boulder County Bombers All-Stars from Boulder, Colorado. They have won five of their thirteen games and just barely squeaked this one by with one point, 201 to 200.
This loss knocked The All-Stars into the battle for 7th place against the Tucson Roller Derby's Saddletramps. Winning five of their nine games, The Saddletramps have the strongest record of any team they've played so far. These two teams last faced each other back in March at The Clover Cup in Dallas, Texas where The Saddletramps won 335 to 106. This time The All-Stars put up a better fight but ended up losing 223 to 119.
